We check your gums at every checkup, and if there are signs of trouble, we'll explain what's happening and how to treat it.

Common questions

What are the signs of gum disease?

Bleeding, swelling, redness, bad breath and receding gums. Early gum disease may cause little or no pain, so regular checkups matter.

Can gum disease be reversed?

The earliest stage, called gingivitis, can often be reversed with good care. More advanced disease usually needs ongoing management.

Do I need to come back often?

Many patients need regular follow-up visits. We'll recommend what's right for you.

This page is for general information and is not a diagnosis. Your dentist will recommend what is right for you after an exam.
